Many foreign students are often confused about some similar words in Chinese. For example:\u4e0d and \u6ca1\uff0cwhich look the same, even though they are used quite differently.<\/p>\n
\u201cB\u00f9\u201d \u4e0d and \u201cm\u00e9i\u201d\u6ca1 are both negative words. Here, I have listed several situations indicating how to use them properly. But remember, there are always overlaps and exceptions.<\/p>\n

When you describe something has taken place and the change of state, which is a negative one, such as, disappeared, you use \u201cm\u00e9i \u201d.<\/strong> For example:<\/p>\n p\u00ed ji\u016d m\u00e9i you le.\u5564\u9152\u6ca1\u6709\u4e86\u3002(There is not any beer.)\uff08in this context,we usually use \u201cle \u201din the end of the sentence.\uff09<\/p>\n 5. When it is a personal decision and willingness, you use \u201cb\u00f9\u201d.<\/strong> For example:<\/p>\n 6.When you give or have a negative judgement, attribute or manner of a certain thing or a fact, you use \u201cb\u00f9\u201d.<\/strong> For example:<\/p>\n About \u201cb\u00f9\u201dand \u201cm\u00e9i\u201d, today we just started talking about it.
